Putting together the nursery is definitely one of the fun parts of having a baby. There are so many nursery room themes to choose from now. Let me offer you some food for thought before you get too enamored with any particular set. Think about long term use of the It is incredibly fun to explore all the different nursery room theme possibilities today. But let's not lose sight of the facts. One, baby will not be small for very long. And two, it takes a lot of work to change a room theme. Now, I agree some people are into that kind of thing and just love to paint and move furniture. But for me, I was glad we had thought ahead and knew that we did not want to turn around in a year and redo a room. We picked a theme with colors that our baby could use during the toddler/early childhood years as well.
- Baby Lamp
The baby lamp can really help out your nursery room theme. For one of our babies, we had a clown theme and the baby lamp was a clown holding a bunch of balloons. Late at night during those midnight snack times, it sure was nice to sit in the rocker and turn on the baby lamp which gave off just enough light to softly fill the room. Of course, you also had to have some soft lullaby music playing as well. I am not sure but I think our music might had been more to calm me than the baby but I could be wrong.
- Stencils
There are numerous stencils available to brighten a nursery and most of them are relatively easy to do. Just get the right paint and the right paint brush along with the stencils and you too can make baby's room a place of wonder. Don't forget to paint the basic wall first if you are redoing the color or providing a fresh base coat.
- Borders
These are like a miniature wallpaper that usually goes around the room but don't feel like you have to use it like everyone else, be creative. You can hang it up high or down low or anywhere in between. Borders come in many, many different sizes, shapes, and colors that will match your theme and set your nursery apart. Again, don't forget to paint the basic wall first if you are redoing the color or providing a fresh base coat.
